An on-vehicle equipment main body 1 conducts transmission control and signal processing. The equipment is made up of a transmission control section 2, a GPS reception section 3 that processes GPS reception data, a locator processing section 5 that processes inputs from various sensors 4 such as a vehicle velocity sensor, and a timer 6 that controls a data transmission interval when the equipment is closed. In the case that the mobile station is closed after its job is finished, a setting device 7 is used to set the type of station closing and a transmission interval when station closing power supply is interrupted and the station closing is conducted. The timer starts transmission at each prescribed time and the transmission control section 2 processes the setting content, the position information of the GPS reception section and each sensor information of the locator processing section 5 and transmits them to the base station.
