Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve multiplexing/demultiplexing of data supporting multirate processing in a network in which different protocols are mixed.SOLUTION: A receiver includes: a data unit release unit for receiving a data unit transmitted through a transmission line and for extracting user data including invalid data and valid data, obtained by removing management data from the data unit; and a plurality of rate estimation units for receiving data transmitted from the data unit release unit and outputs the data to different output interfaces. Each rate estimation unit in the plurality of rate estimation units inputs the valid data selected from the user data into a FIFO unit, and controls the readout frequency of the FIFO unit on the basis of a residual data amount in the FIFO unit, to estimate the transmission data rate of a corresponding input interface in a transmitter on the basis of either one of a write cycle in the writing of the valid data into the FIFO unit and the residual data amount in the FIFO unit.
