PURPOSE: To reduce the transmission/reception processing overhead by switching the mode into the 2nd retransmission mode in place of the 1st retransmission mode when the number of missing frames generate consecutively exceeds a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: A data is sent to a terminal equipment 10 from a communication control processing equipment 7 while a serial number is added. When a data with a serial number 6 is received by the terminal equipment 10, since it is discriminated that the data with a data serial number 5 is not correctly received, the signal SREJ 5 of retransmission request is returned to the equipment 7 and the data with the serial number 6 is kept. Since the data of serial numbers 9, 15 are not correctly received, signals SREJ 9, SREJ 15 of retransmission request are returned. On the other hand, when a data with a serial number 24 is received by the terminal equipment 10, it is discriminated that data of serial numbers 20∼23 are not correctly received. In this case, the number of missing frames is 4 and it exceeds the specified number, and a signal REJ 20 is returned immediately to the processing equipment 7 immediately, the data with the serial number 24 is thrown away and the correct reception of the data with the serial number 20 is awaited.
