Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmitter which can materialize power saving using a smaller number of parts by simple power control, and to provide its control method.
SOLUTION: The data transmitter 1 is equipped with a plurality of I/F (interface) parts 2a-2c which convert data into specified transmission form and transmit them to an external apparatus, a power source 3 which supplies the I/F parts 2a-2c with power, and detectors 5a-5c which detect whether each I/F part 2a-2c is in a state of being connected with the external apparatus. For the control method of the above data transmitter 1, when the detectors 5a-5c detect some I/F part 2a-2c described above which are in connected state, a controller controls the power source 3 to supply power to all the I/F parts 2a-2c, and in the case that the detectors 5a-5c detect any I/F part 2a-2c which are not in connected state, so that it controls the power source 3 to stop power supply to any of I/F parts 2a-2c.
