PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect specific data with respect with respect to unauthorized transfer of the data.
SOLUTION: An integrated receiver recorder IRD 12 discriminates whether or not selected music data include ATRAC data requiring authentication, based on discrimination data added to transmitted data. When the IRD 12 discriminates that the music data include the ATRAC data needs authentication, the IRD 12 applies authentication processing to a storage 13 which is the transfer destination of the ATRAC data to confirm it that the storage 13 is a proper device for downloading and then downloads the ATRAC data to the storage 13.
