The data write apparatus is provided with a first drive means 101 for writing data to a randomly accessible and nonvolatile first recording medium 100, and a second drive means 201 for writing data to a nonvolatile second recording medium 200. A write control means controls the first drive means 101 to write user data to the first recording medium 100 on receipt of an instruction to record the user data, and to write management information on the first recording medium 100 for managing the user data written on the first recording medium 100, to the second recording medium 200.
