PURPOSE: To obtain a DC brushless motor which can operate efficiently at low speed for such load as refrigeration, freezing or air-conditioning even if maximum r.p.m. of the DC brushless motor is set high.

CONSTITUTION: U, V and W phases are formed of first coil group Ua, Va, Wa and second coil group Ub, Vb, Wb. First terminals U1, V1, W1 and second terminal U2, V2, W2 are provided at the opposite ends of the first coil group and the second coil group is connected, at one end thereof, with a first neutral N1 and provided, at the other end thereof, with third terminals U3, V3, W3. Second and third terminals are connected each other in low speed region and first and second coil groups are connected in series with U, V and W phases of power supply line thus increasing the number of turns of the coil. In high speed region, second terminals of U, V and W phases are connected with second neutral N2 thus connecting first and second coil groups in parallel with U, V and W phases of the power supply line.
