Title:
DC-DC CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3755623
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a DC-DC converter and improve the efficiency of the converter, by connecting an output rectifier filter circuit to the secondary winding of a transformer, and constituting a constant-current load circuit against a circuit connected to the primary side of the transformer.
SOLUTION: Desired DC output power is obtained from a DC-DC converter by making a sine wave electric current to flow to a resonance circuit 3 by periodically switching a DC power source 6 with switching elements 1 and 2, and transmitting the current to the secondary side of a transformer 4 from the primary side of the transformer 4, and then, rectifying and filtering the current by means of an output rectifier and filter circuit 5. The circuit 5 is constituted in a choke input rectifier and filter circuit constituting a constant- current load circuit against a circuit connected to the primary side of the transformer 4. Accordingly, the ripple current flowing to a filter capacitor 54 is made smaller by the action of an output choke coil 53. Therefore, the loss of the capacitor 54 of the circuit 5 caused by the ripple current becomes smaller.
