PURPOSE: To provide a DC lighting type compact fluorescent lamp stand having less effect of the cataphoresis phenomenon.

CONSTITUTION: In a table lamp stand provided with a DC lighting device 3 and a compact fluorescent lamp 6, a fluorescent lamp 6 is horizontally arranged in the shade 5 of a stand head part. The anode side of the lighting device 3 is connected to the front side tube 6a of the fluorescent lamp 6, and the anode side is connected to a rear side tube 6b. In this fluorescent lamp stand, when DC lighting is continued for a long hours, though the cataphoresis phenomenon occurs, but fading in a tube end part due to the phenomenon appears on the rear side tube 6b and does not appear on the front side tube 6a. Consequently, the adverse effect of the fading is lessened relative to the reverse case.
