Title:
DC MOTOR DRIVE AND STOP CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6051483
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the current capacity by connecting a brake transistor to both ends of an armature, turning ON a transistor for driving a motor at OFF time, thereby flowing only an armature current to the drive transistor. CONSTITUTION:A drive transistor T1 is connected in series with an armature of a DC motor 2, the T1 is turned ON and OFF by a drive circuit 6 to drive the motor 2. A brake transistor T2 is connected to both ends of the armature, the transistor T2 is held in OFF state by the ON of transistors T4, T5 at the drive time of the motor 2, the T1 is turned OFF, and when the motor 2 is stopped, a capacitor 13 is charged by the voltage between the terminals of the T1 to turn the transistor T3 ON, the armature is directly shortcircuited by turning ON the T2 to flow a brake current. Accordingly, since the current of a brake circuit is not flowed to the T1, the current capacity can be reduced to reduce the cost.
