To enhance the productivity and assemblability of a DC motor while reducing vibration and noise due to front bearing holding.
The DC motor with a brush includes a case 11 formed into cup shape, a brush plate 17 covering the opening of the case, a rotor housed in the case and having an armature 43 and a commutator 22, a brush 21 pressure-welded to the commutator, and a rotating shaft 32 having a rear bearing 34 attached to one end and a front bearing 33 attached to an intermediate portion with the armature being attached fixedly between these rear bearing and front bearing. The brush plate is made of resin, a metallic ring-like collar 5 molded integrally with the brush plate is disposed on the inner peripheral side of the resin brush plate and on the anti-brush side, and then the front bearing is pressure-welded to the collar.
