Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor capable of having its overall axial length shortened while securing an insulation space between a riser of a commutator segment and a core-side connection plate 16.SOLUTION: A core-side position restriction part which restricts a position relative to a core-side connection plate 16 is provided on an axial core side of a brush holder 14. The core-side position restriction part has a projection-shaped part 26 which restricts a peripheral position for the core-side connection plate 16, and a plate fitting part 27 which restricts axial-directional and external-diameter-directional positions for the core-side connection plate 16. The projection-shaped part 26 is formed having its peripheral width A1 larger than a peripheral width B of a brush. Further, a fitting groove 27a formed at the plate fitting part 27 is formed at a position axially lapping a core-side end of the brush 10. Consequently, the axial distance between the core-side connection plate 16 and an anti-core side connection plate 17 can be made short, so the overall length can be made shorter than that of a motor having a conventional structure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
