Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce unevenness in a resistance value for a resistance for current limiting a discharge current in a gas discharge type display device, that is a so-called plasma display panel, and provide the gas discharge type display device having reduced brightness irregularity.
CONSTITUTION: Anode bus lines 14 are provided on a backing plate 13, and the bus lines 14 are covered with an insulation layer 15 having plural throughholes. Resistance lines 16 are connected to the anode bus lines through the throughholes on the insulation layer, and electrode bodies 18 are formed at corresponding positions to discharge cells of the resistance lines 16. By disposing the throughholes in such a way that the electrode bodies and the anode bus lines are, connected to each other by part of the resistance lines having a specified resistance value, thereby a resistance for limiting a current at each discharge cell can be formed with favorable precision.
