Title:
DEAD BATTERY PREVENTING MECHANISM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000175372
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To avoid an engine start trouble and add electric power for an information apparatus with no AC power source by fitting a manual generator serving as a battery power adding means in addition to an engine rotation utilizing generator.

While an engine 50 is running, power generation is performed by an engine rotation utilizing generator 60 to add electric power to a battery 10. If the engine 50 goes dead and does not start because of omission of a lamp OFF during parking or natural discharging caused by standing by for a long time, electric power is added by manually turning the handle of a manual generator 20, so that the engine can be started. As a result, electric power can be added under its own power, so that the safety of an automobile in isolation or the like can be improved. This is also effective as a power support mechanism in the case of emergency in an electric vehicle using a motor as well as all battery-equipped apparatus such as information apparatuses.
