To downsize a dead lock, and to reduce the size and weight of a driving body, in terms of the dead lock for preventing fraudulent unlocking via a dead bolt.
This dead lock 30 is equipped with the dead bolt 50 which is driven by a cam 37 turning depending on locking and unlocking operations, so as to move to positions to be put into locked and unlocked states. A supporting part 40 for turnably supporting the cam 37 is provided with a reinforcing part 42b1 for receiving an external force by abutting on a shoulder part 37c of the cam 37, when the unlocking-direction external force applied to the dead bolt 50 in locked state acts on the cam 37 via the dead bolt 50. The reinforcing part 42b1 prevents or suppresses the deformation of the cam 37 by the external force, so that the movement of the dead bolt 50 in an unlocking direction can be inhibited only by the cam 37.
