PURPOSE: To provide a deceleration pattern generator whose pattern can be easily and accurately adjusted and changed and which can be easily maintained.
CONSTITUTION: Each slit 16S of a tape 16 is detected by a position detector 17 attached to a gondola. The output of the detector is transmitted to an up/down counter 15 through a buffer 18a. The output of the counter 15 is transmitted to a microcomputer 14. Data stored from input/output registers GIOR and data stored in memories RAM, PROM are processed by the processing unit CPU of the microcomputer 14 according to a program stored in the memory PROM. The results of the processing are supplied from the registers GIOR. Floor position data corresponding to the stop positions of the gondola and pattern data set at each prescribed interval starting from a gondola deceleration instruction point are stored in the memories of the microcomputer 14. The distance to the stop position of the gondola is caculated from the outputs of the memories and the counter 15 and then applied as a distance base pattern.
