Abstract:
To provide a deck rib cutting device and a deck rib cutting method which cuts a deck rib safely and easily.SOLUTION: A deck rib cutting device (1) for cutting a deck rib (110) which is provided on the deck plate lower surface side of a flat deck includes a cutting mechanism (10) which cuts the deck rib (110) and a moving mechanism (20) which supports the cutting mechanism (10) and moves along a longitudinal direction of the deck rib (110). Therein, the moving mechanism (20) includes a pair of gear parts (21) which sandwich and hold the deck rib (110) from both sides, the pair of gear parts (21) rotate while causing a plurality of gear parts (21t) provided on each gear part to bite into both sides of the deck rib (110) successively, thereby, the moving mechanism (20) moves along the longitudinal direction, the cutting mechanism (10) moves along the longitudinal direction together with the moving mechanism (20) and cuts the deck rib (110) along the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
