PURPOSE: To provide sheet supply and so forth in the lifting stop condition of all trays by adjusting the rotational speed, rotational time or rotating start time of a motor according to the positions of the respective trays so that all the trays to be lowered have reached a lower limit at the approximately same time.
CONSTITUTION: The rotational speed, rotational time or rotating start time of stepping motors 13a, 13b in all trays (for example, 5a, 5b) to be lowered according to the positions of the respective trays 5a, 5b are adjusted respectively so that all the trays may reach the operating positions of the lower limit detecting sensors 9a, 9b in the respective trays 5a, 5b at the approximately same time. As a result, the speed of respective stepping motors 13a, 13b is controlled, and when the respective trays 5a, 5b have the lower limit, the respective stepping motors 13a, 13b stop. It is thus possible to draw out respective tray decks 3a, 3b with the trays 5a, 5b of the tray deck stopped.
