Title:
DECOLORATION OF AQUEOUS SOLUTION OF SACCHARIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03112500
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To efficiently decolor an aqueous solution of a saccharide, by treating the aqueous solution of the saccharide with a specific polyamine functionalized resin.

CONSTITUTION: In this method for decoloring an aqueous solution of a saccharide by bringing it into contact with an anionic exchange resin, the following anionic exchange resin is used. Namely, an adsorbing anionic exchange resin is produced by aminating a macroporous chloromethylated copolymer with a polyamine under conditions sufficient to promote crosslinking bond between the site of the unreacted amine and the chloromethyl group of the copolymer. An aliphatic polyamine, especially ethylenediamine or 1,3-diaminopropane is preferable as the polyamine. The preferable copolymer is an aromatic copolymer obtained by crosslinking a bond between a polyunsaturated monomer (e.g. divinylbenzene) and a monoethylenic unsaturated monomer (e.g. styrene).
