To provide dyed clothing having a decolorized pattern so decolorized that color densities of convexities of the dyed clothing are higher than those of concavities thereof.
A method for forming the decolorized pattern comprises selectively decolorizing parts of the dyed clothing, wherein the dyed clothing which is sewn and processed is made to contain water, sprinkled with a powdery material or a granular material, agitated together with the material, and then contacted with ozone gas in a contact tank while the clothing is agitated in such a state that no fluidized water exists in the tank. Thus, the powdery material or the granular material is selectively attached to convexities of the dyed clothing, so that not the convexities but the concavities of the clothing are decolorized. Therefore, the decolorized pattern of unprecedented novelty is formed.
