Abstract:
To provide a method for efficiently decomposing a vinyl alcohol-based polymer by using a fungus, especially a method for efficiently decomposing a vinyl alcohol-based polymer in a solid state even not through operation of dissolution or immersion in water.
The method for decomposing a vinyl alcohol-based polymer comprises a process for bringing a fungus of the genus Gloeophyllum or a culture of the fungus into contact with a vinyl alcohol-based polymer.
