Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying a fluidized bed apparatus with a higher volume efficiency as compared to the rotation type apparatus applied for heating methods and washing methods as the soil decontamination apparatus in the conventional practice to the treatment of soil having a broad particle size distribution.
SOLUTION: On the decontamination of contaminated soil by means of a washing method, the soil is charged into washing vessel 3, washing fluid is allowed to flow upward from the under part of the washing vessel and the soil is made to be in a fluidized state, the contaminant existing near the surface of soil particles is washed and the flow speed in the vessel of the washing fluid is periodically changed within a specified range.
