Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of decontaminating a tank contaminated by storing contaminated water containing radioactive materials, in a short time while suppressing exposure dose of a worker.SOLUTION: The method includes: a first step of releasing coupling between a ceiling wall 12 and a sidewall 16, of interposing a roller unit 24 between a peripheral portion 12a of the ceiling wall 12 and a support surface of the sidewall 16, and of allowing the ceiling wall 12 to be rotated in a circumferential direction; a second step of forming a first opening in a part of the peripheral portion 12a, and of vertically performing a vacuum blast treatment using a vacuum blast device 50 on an inner surface of the sidewall from an upper end to a lower end while moving down the vacuum blast device 50 from the first opening to the inside of a tank along the inner surface of the sidewall; and a third step of rotating the ceiling wall in the circumferential direction by a blast treatment width, and of vertically performing the vacuum blast treatment on the inner surface of the sidewall from the upper end to the lower end as in the second step. The vacuum blast treatment is performed on the whole inner surface of the sidewall by repeating the third step.
