Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoration method which makes compatible decoration by chrome plating and decoration by linear irregularity processing (brushed processing) without using clear coating as a final finish.SOLUTION: A decoration method for an automobile wheel comprises: a process for forming first plating layers 104, 106, 108, 110 and 112 as a foundation of a chrome plating layer 114 as a final plating layer; a process for forming linear irregularities on surfaces of the first plating layers 104, 106, 108, 110 and 112; and a process for forming the chrome plating layer 114 on the first plating layers 104, 106, 108, 110 and 112 on which the linear irregularities are formed so that the linear irregularities remain.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
