To apply a pattern easily by forming water transfer paper which is laminated on a mount in the order of a water-soluble parting layer, a pattern layer, an adhesive layer, and rolling-compacting the water transfer paper with a roller which is affixed to the panel surface of an ALC panel and is impregnated with water.
Water transfer paper 1 is formed, which is laminated on a water- absorptive mount 2 in the order of a water-soluble parting layer 3 consisting of water- soluble wax, a pattern layer 4 whose pattern is subjected to electrostatic printing with ink, and an adhesive layer 5. The release paper of the water transfer paper 1 is removed, and the adhesive layer 5 of the water transfer paper 1 is affixed to a surface where substrate treatment of the ALC panel 9 is not applied. The surface of the mount 2 is rolled while being pressed by a roller 10 made of a hard sponge impregnated with water, and the pattern layer 4 is bonded and transferred to the panel surface 9 by the adhesive layer 5. When the water-soluble parting layer 3 is separated from the pattern layer 4, and the mount 2 is separated, the pattern layer 4 fixed at the panel 9 surface by the adhesive layer 5 remains, so that a dressed ALC panel involving a desired pattern is obtained. It is thus possible to improve the design quality of a building.
