To obtain a new kind of copolymer consisting essentially of acryloyldimethyltaurine acid useful for preparation of various a great number of decorative cosmetics.

The decorative cosmetic and dermatological agent contain at least one copolymer which is obtained by radical copolymerization of (A) acryloyldimethyltaurine acid and/or acryloyldimethyltaurate, (B) optionally, one or more additional olefinically unsaturated, non-cationic comonomer, (C) optionally, one or more olefinically unsaturated, cationic comonomer, (D) optionally, one or more components containing silicon, (E) optionally, one or more components containing fluorine and (F) optionally, one or more macromonomer, (G) the copolymerization taking place in the presence of at least one polymeric additive, (H) provided that component (A) is copolymerized with at least one component selected from one of the groups (D) to (G).
