PURPOSE: To obtain a decorative container of which decorative effect is excellent, of which container main body and the lid do not move, and of which decoration does not easily come off by cover-decorating the side wall surface of the container main body and the whole surface of the lid separately by a heat-shrinkable film for decoration.

CONSTITUTION: The title container is a square container which is made of a thermal insulating material such as expanded styrol, etc., for which a lid 12 is detachably provided on a container main body 11. For the shape of the container, a round and oval type, etc., can be considered. The container main body 11 has a protruding plate 13 to fix the lid on the inner side of the side wall end surface, and the side wall surface is covered by a heat-shrinkable film 14 for decoration. The lid 12 has a cutout groove 15 which is fitted on the protruding plate 13, on the side wall inner surface, and the whole surface if covered by a heat-shrinkable film 16 for decoration. The end edge of this heat-shrinkable film 16 is extended to the side wall end surface of the lid 12 and is fixed on the said end surface. The heat-shrinkable films 14, 16 are made of polystyrol, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, or acrylonitrile, etc., and coloring, patterns, etc., are applied on the films by printing, etc., and they are joined to the surfaces to be covered by heat-shrinking by heating.
