To improve mechanical strength even though a foamed polystyrene is used by laminating integrally a fiber-reinforced plastic layer of an unsatd. polyester resin on the surface of a board main body consisting of a lowly foamed polystyrene resin through a non-styrene resin layer.
A non-styrene resin layer 2 is laminated on the surface of a board main body 1 consisting of a lowly foamed polystyrene resin obtd. by bead foaming with a foaming ratio of about 15-fold and a fiber-reinforced plastic layer 3 of an unsatd. polyester resin is laminated on this non-styrene resin, layer 2. As the non-styrene resin 2, epoxy resins, phenol resins etc., can be used, but from the viewpoint of adhesiveness between the board main body 1 and the fiber-reinforced plastic layer 3, an acryl resin-modified polyester resin, e.g. a resin wherein 25-30 pts. (pts.wt. hereinbelow the same) 2- hydroxyethyl methacrylate are incorporated in 75-70 pts. unsatd. polyester resin as a main ingredient is especially pref.
