PURPOSE: To improve reality of a wood-like pattern and also abrasion resistance of a part where a conduit groove pattern is formed, by arranging a contour of a transparent-semi transparent gloss pattern printing layer formed on said wood-like pattern with a gap from a contour of a wood-like pattern printing layer and along said contour of said wood-like pattern, so that said gloss pattern printing layer is formed considerably projecting out from said wood-like pattern printing layer.
CONSTITUTION: After a solid printing layer 2 is formed on a base material 1 of the decorative material, a wood-like pattern 3is formed, with parts of conduit grooves omitted, by a gravure printing ink of three colors. Further, first printing layer 5, 5 having color and outline similar to those of a conduit of a natural wood are succes sively formed by a mat ink. Thus, a base material 4 of the decorative material is obtained. Second printing layers 6, 6 formed of gloss patterns are formed by a conduit mask plate on the surface of the wood-like pattern 3 of the base material 4 in a manner to provide predetermined overlapping areas along an outline of the first print ing layers 5, 5 except the area where the layers 5, 5 are enclosed. Thus, a decorative material 7 is completed. Owing to the areas where the printing layers are overlapped one another, the decorative material can be artistic.
