Abstract:
To secure preferable contrast between a part where a predetermined pattern is positioned and its adjacent part, when a design layer is viewed with an illuminating device on.SOLUTION: A decorative component 2 in which a predetermined pattern 3 is visible when an illuminating device 30 provided on a back surface is turned on and the predetermined pattern 3 is invisible when the illuminating device 30 is turned off, includes: a light shielding layer 15 in which laser processing portions 17 for transmitting light of the illuminating device 30 are formed in a predetermined pattern 3 and that has a material that reacts to laser light; a transparent layer 14 that is placed on a surface of the light shielding layer 15 in the form of layers and is made of a material that does not react to laser light; and a design layer 13 that is placed on a surface of the transparent layer 14 in the form of layers and has a predetermined transmittance at which light is transmitted when the illuminating device 30 is turned on and the predetermined pattern 3 is invisible when the illuminating device 30 is turned off; wherein the design layer 13 and the transparent layer 14 have substantially the same refractive index.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
