To utilize a design of a joint part of a decorative base material, a sense of a quality and a sense of a depth by providing a design on a part or entire recess part of the recess part of large or small pattern of the material.
A base material 1 of the decorative plate is sealer treated 2 to provide a base coat layer 3, a joint design layer 4, a protrusion part base coat layer 5, a surface design layer 6 and a surface protective layer 7. Here, as the layer 4, a layer for obtaining adhesive properties with the base coat 3 layer is selected, and the joint part is design coated by using a roll transfer, silk printing, gravure offset printing, spray coating or ink jet coater. The layer 5 is used for incorporating concealability in the design in the case of desiring decorating by coating or transferring a part except the joint part of the material 1. Thus, the design of the joint part, a sense of a quality, and a sense of a depth of the joint can be utilized for the decorative plate as they are, and the decorative plate having a sense of a material different from that of the surface of the base material at the joint part can be obtained.
