To provide a decorative transparent substrate which is decorated with designs, such as characters and patterns, such that the designs are stereoscopically viewed, and excellent in designability, and to provide a decorative transparent substrate manufacturing method having uncomplicated manufacturing steps, capable of suppressing the generation frequency of defective products, and also, capable of imparting to the transparent substrate, the configuration to satisfactorily achieve the stereoscopic view of the pattern.
The decorative transparent substrate 1 is configured such that a transparent sheet 4 is stuck on the side opposite to the viewing side of the transparent substrate 2 through a transparent adhesive layer 3, and a printed layer 5 composed of a plurality of ink layers for representing the desired design including the pattern to be stereoscopically displayed is printed on the side opposite to the viewing side of the transparent sheet 4. An area 5a corresponding to the pattern of the printed layer 5 is formed being extruded toward the transparent sheet 4 such that the area 5a may be stereoscopically viewed from the viewing side of the transparent substrate 2 through the transparent substrate 2, the adhesive layer 3 and the transparent sheet 4.
