To obtain a decoy sprinkling apparatus in an apparatus for shooting decoys for avoiding a missile shot to a war vessel or aeroplane wherein an optimum decoy sprinkling position fitted to the newest condition at that time point can be determined.
In a decoy sprinkling apparatus for self defence against a flying missile, there are provided a sensor information input device 1 for inputting position information of a flying missile from an external sensor, a decoy sprinkling candidate position generation device 2 for generating a decoy sprinkling candidate position, a critical position estimation device 3 for estimating a critical position of a missile for each decoy sprinkling candidate position, a missile advance direction estimation device 4 for determining a missile advance direction at the critical poition, and an optimum decoy sprinkling position determination device 5 for determining an optimum decoy sprinkling position among decoy sprinkling candidate positions using the missile advance direction information. In order to avoid a flying missile toward the apparats itself an optimum decoy sprinkling direction fitted to the newest condition can be estimated.
