PURPOSE: To provide a deep colored fiber especially having good friction resistance by subjecting the mixed resins-comprising surface of a fiber to a low temperature plasma treatment to etch the surface and further forming a resin coating film on the thus produced uneven or depressed surface of the fiber.
CONSTITUTION: An aqueous dispersion of mixed resins having no solubility between each other and a difference of ≥1.2 times between their etching rates such as a mixture of a silicone resin with a fluorinated acrylic resin is applied to a dyed fiber such as natural, semi-synthetic or synthetic fiber, particularly polyester fiber. The applied fiber is subjected to a low temperature plasma treatment to form projections and depressions or depressed holes on at least one portion of the mixed resins-comprising coating film and subsequently further treated with, e.g., an amino group-modified dimethylsilicone/epoxy silane aqueous solution to form a resin coating film, thereby providing a deep colored fiber having excellent friction durability, washing resistance and dry cleaning resistance.
