Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce a facsimile image, speed up display of gradation, and improve system performance by reducing the number of address signals of a display control device, speeding up renewal of display, enabling uniform processing on a registered character of a CGROM and an unregistered character, and decorating and displaying the character of the CGROM by software.
CONSTITUTION: When a command and a necessary parameter or data are set in a parameter register part 100 from a CPU1, a display control device 5 transfers a character of a CGROM7 or an external character in an external character registering area of a VRAM6 or external data to an image screen area of the VRAM6, and outputs the character in the CGROM7 to the CPU1, and carries out reduction of image data and processing of gradation by using a buffer area of the VRAM6, and transfers gradation data to the image screen area of the VRAM6.
