Abstract:

To provide a defect repairing method for a liquid crystal panel by a femtosecond laser that improves the yield while making an area to be processed as small as possible.

The defect repairing method for the liquid crystal panel in which a bright point defect A occurred in the liquid crystal panel 1 is repaired includes a laser irradiation step of subjecting at least one of a pair of alignment films 16 and 26 to local transformation processing by converging femotosecond laser light L, the liquid crystal panel 1 being constituted by sandwiching a liquid crystal layer 30, having the pair of alignment films 16 and 26 disposed with a liquid crystal layer body 30 being sandwiched, between a pair of substrates 10 and 20.
