Abstract:
PURPOSE: To concurrently correct the coma aberration between the center beam and side beams on a screen and the cross mis-convergence between a pair of side beams and make corrections even when the intermediate section of the screen and upper and lower end sections have different drift quantities.
CONSTITUTION: A deflecting device has a saturable reactor. The saturation control coil of the saturable reactor is constituted of the first saturation control coil 35a and the second saturation control coil 35b generating the magnetic field having the opposite polarity to that of the first saturation control coil 35a. The first saturation control coil 35a forms the first deflection current system together with a resistor 40, and the second deflection current system constituted of the second saturation control coil 35b and a pair of diodes 42, 43 connected in opposite polarities is connected in parallel with the first deflection current system.
