PURPOSE: To extend the upper limit of the number of windings of four saddle- shaped print coils by configuring them so as to have an overlapped section each other when they are wound round their bobbin.

CONSTITUTION: Four print coils 12 to 15 are formed adjacently on a flexible print circuit board 11. A deflection coil which deflects an electron beam on a unidirectional axis is configured using each set of the print coils 12 and 13 or of them 14 and 15. Then the coils are wound round a bobbin 4, overlapping mylar sheets on the flexible printed circuit board 11. The deflection coil is formed so that four print coils 12 to 15 can have the overlapped sections A and B each other. As a result, the upper limit of the number of windings of a single or one-layer coil can be extended and specified winding distribution be achieved by maintaining the maximum allowable number of windings.
