Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the convergence of an entire screen.
CONSTITUTION: In the color picture tube deflector having a couple of horizontal deflection coils 21 generating a pin cushion horizontal deflection magnetic field and a couple of vertical deflection coils 23 generating a barrel type vertical deflection magnetic field, a couple of correction coils 24 for which a current in opposite direction to a horizontal deflection current flows synchronously with a horizontal deflection current flowing to the horizontal deflection coils so as to be symmetrical to a vertical axis is arranged in the vicinity of the vertical axis (y) intersecting orthogonally with the center axis zD of the deflector. Furthermore, the width of a couple of the correction coils is set within 10mm, and a couple of the correction coils is constituted of a 1st correction coil in which a current in opposite direction flows synchronously with the horizontal deflection current flowing to the horizontal deflection coil in the vicinity of the vertical axis intersecting orthogonally with the center axis of the deflection device and of a 2nd correction coil in which a current in the same current flows synchronously with the horizontal deflection current.
