Abstract:

To provide a robot system capable of ensuring the safety of fitting hair extensions although being in contact with a human subject.SOLUTION: Provided are devices (506, 515, 516) for ensuring safe operation of a robot (530) used for cosmetics applications, including the retrofitting of robots not originally design for such applications. In some embodiments, the robot (530) is used for automatically placing hair extensions onto the natural eyelashes of a subject (301). In some embodiments, safety barriers (515, 516) are provided by physical barriers (515, 516) or a light curtain.
