Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deformable liquid crystal movable body that can move freely on a plane.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a movable body in which a flow of liquid crystal is applied as a driving source. The movable body comprises a storing body 2 filled with liquid crystal 10, an electrode 3 arranged at an inner surface of the storing body 2 and a control part for generating an electric field in a selected applying electrode. The storing body 2 is formed by soft member. Since a shape of the storing body 2 varies due to flowing of the liquid crystal, the storing body 2 changes its shape. Then, the movable body moves as the shape of the storing body 2 changes. Accordingly, when the flow of liquid crystal generated in the liquid crystal 10 is adjusted, it is possible to move the liquid crystal movable body 1 in a desired direction.
