The rotary compressor 10 which discharges refrigerant gas compressed by a first rotary compression element into a sealed vessel and compresses the discharged refrigerant gas having an intermediate pressure by a second rotary compression element, a gas cooler 154, an expansion valve 156, and the evaporator 157 are provided. When removing frost in the evaporator, the refrigerant gas discharged from the second rotary compression element flows into the evaporator without reducing its pressure by the expansion valve. Furthermore, the refrigerant gas discharged from the first rotary compression element flows into the evaporator, an electric element of the rotary compressor is operated by predetermined number of revolution, and an inertia force of a vane in the number of revolution is set to be smaller than an energizing force of a spring member.
