Abstract:
To reduce H2 gas concn. in molten aluminum in a molten metal holding furnace with a simple means.
A closing member 7 air-tightly adhesibly attachable to a molten metal introducing part 6 of the holding furnace 3 is fitted to the molten metal charging part 5 of a funnel 1 for charging the molten metal, and a gas supplying pipe 8 and a gas exhaust pipe 9 are fixed to this closing member 7. At the time of transferring the molten aluminum from a ladle 2 to the holding furnace 3, inert gas is supplied from the gas supplying pipe 8 and the gas in the molten metal introducing part 6 is replaced with the inert gas.
