To obtain a degassing type container which can preserve agricultural products for a long time while keeping their freshness.
The degassing type container 10 has a base 12 including a base panel 16 and side walls 18, and a lid 14 which is at least substantially impervious to gas. Two degassing holes are formed on the side walls, and a plug is provided for each of the degassing holes to allow the degassing holes to be selectively opened. When the plug is attached to a degassing toggle 28, and the degassing toggle of the degassing hole is rotated manually, the associated degassing hole is opened/closed. Selectively opening the degassing hole allows gas exchange between the inside of the container and an ambient atmosphere. The container can be used as a normal hermetically sealed food preserving container by keeping the degassing holes closed. The base panel has swells and troughs alternately arranged for separating condensate in the container.
