Abstract:
To provide a biodegradation promoter suitable for a biodegradable resin that improves the biodegradation rate and degradation rate of a biodegradable resin such as an aliphatic polyester resin, an aliphatic-aromatic polyester resin, an aliphatic oxycarboxylic acid resin, in an arbitrarily controllable manner, and can maintain mechanical strength such as tensile breaking elongation and flexural modulus, and a biodegradable resin composition containing the biodegradation promoter.SOLUTION: A degradation promoter for biodegradable resin contains cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. Relative to 100 mass% of the total of cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin, 10-30 mass% of lignin is contained, and the ratio of the cellulose content to the hemicellulose content is 0.5-4.0. A biodegradable resin composition contains the biodegradation promoter 2-250 pts.mass and a biodegradable resin 100 pts.mass .SELECTED DRAWING: None
