Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cutinase, a cutinase gene, and a method for decomposing polyester- or ester-compound by using the cutinase.SOLUTION: Provided is either of proteins of the following (a)-(c): (a) a cutinase having a specific amino acid sequence derived from Saccharomonospora viridis; (b) a protein consisting of an amino acid sequence having 90% or more of sequence identity to that of the cutinase, and having a cutinase activity; and (c) a protein consisting of an amino acid sequence, in which one or more amino acids are deleted, substituted, inserted, or added in the above-mentioned amino acid sequence, and which has a cutinase activity.
