Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treating method for preventing degradation of rice bran, by which a lipolytic enzyme is inactivated by applying a heat to the rice bran discharged from the rice-polishing processing, and thereby, the increase in the fatty acid degree is suppressed, and the quality of the rice bran can be preserved without deterioration.
SOLUTION: A rice bran discharged from a rice-polishing processing is heated to inactivate lipase of a lipolytic enzyme, and the increase of a fatty acid degree of the rice bran is suppressed to prevent the degradation of the rice bran. As a heating method, the method for heating rice bran by the steam is cited, and the heating temperature is preferably 100-130°C. The treatment for preventing degradation of the rice bran is preferably carried out, for example, by using a degradation-preventing processing unit having a charging opening for charging the rice bran discharged from the rice-polishing processing, installed in the upstream side of a conveying part, a heating part for heating the rice bran installed on the downstream side of the conveying part and a discharging part for discharging the bran passed through the heating part, installed in the downstream of the heating part in the treating method for preventing the degradation of the rice bran. As the result, the high-quality rice bran is obtained, and the rice bran can be utilized as a feedstuff, etc.
