To efficiently save energy by reducing air volume of once compressed air released to the atmosphere from a membrane dryer and a booster, when using compressed air dehumidified in the membrane dryer by boosting it by the booster.
Compressed air at high pressure to be dehumidified is supplied to the inside flow passage of the hollow fiber membrane 15a of the membrane dryer 1 and dehumidified, the dehumidified compressed air is supplied to the boosting chambers 40a, 40b of the booster 3, and alternately supplied to driving chambers 41a, 41b. The compressed air boosted in the boosting chambers 40a or 40b by the pressure of the driving chambers 41a or 41b is supplied to a hydraulic apparatus, used low pressure discharge air used for boosting in the driving chamber is caused to flow from a discharge port 45 through a pipe 8, an incoming purge inlet port 16c and a purge flow passage inlet part 16a, to a purge flow passage 16 outside the hollow fiber membrane of the membrane dryer.
