Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving circuit of a liquid crystal display having a circuit structure without consuming a steady state electric power, a wide range of output voltages, and also a low power consumption.
SOLUTION: A driving circuit of a liquid crystal display is provided with precharge means 15, E5 for precharging an output terminal at a fixed voltage; a 1st circuit 10 having a p-channel insulated gate type transistor 11 whose source is connected with a 1st voltage source E1 and whose drain current is supplied to an output terminal corresponding to its gate bias, and also having a 1st switching means 13 for controlling the supply and cutoff of the drain current to the output terminal; a 2nd circuit 20 having a means for controlling a voltage between the gate and source of the transistor 11 at a threshold voltage, and having a 2nd switching means 50 for switching between an input gradation voltage and the output terminal voltage via a capacitive element for outputting it to the gate of the transistor 11; and a driving means for operating the precharge means, the 1st circuit 10, and the 2nd circuit 20 so as to bring the output terminal voltage close to the input gradation voltage.
