PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dehumidifier capable of raising a dehumidifying ability at an early stage from the starting time of the operation even when a relative humidity of air in a dehumidifying object space is high.SOLUTION: A dehumidifier 1 is configured such that an operation control part 62 starts the operation in a first operation mode of absorbing water into a desiccant block 7 from air in a dehumidifying object space passing through an air channel chamber 10A when a relative humidity of air in the dehumidifying object space, detected in a humidity detection part 50 is low, and starts the operation in a second operation mode of desorbing water held in the desiccant block 7 when the relative humidity is high.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
